Replicating Repertoire

To Translate

The idea of manipulating the counterfeit-system embedded within paper notes as a method of translating and recording. The initial paper notes undergo a series of procedures and one of them is illuminated through laser projection from every trajectory in order to establish a 3-dimensional holographic projection which then recorded physically. The encryption of the recorded data of the monuments is read in a point cloud and wire mesh which allows it to sculpt directly in the mid-air.

To Replicate

A juxtaposition between manmade and digital fabrication. The drawback of not able to digitally read the properties encrypted within banknotes makes it uniquely reinterpreted and replicated. The point cloud and wire mesh that was created during ‘the translation’ phase become a repertoire of understanding the level of intricacy within the monuments. The sculptor/artisan will be the key player in giving a state of the art detailing to the monuments which entitize from the micro-lettering properties/characteristics and ornamental patterns which were initially used as a counterfeiting feature on banknotes.

To Perceive

The surrealistic experience and level of intricate detailing of the model replicated which can be read in an idiosyncratic way. The way it represented is not in its shape neither its form, but the micro-detailing which encrypted within the monument, act as the value within the objects.

To Archive

The point cloud of the replicated monument gives out distinctive ornamentation which then patented into a new entity which symbolizes the new currency via the materialization of the fictional monuments. The patented replicates entitize the stability of currency and instruments of power. The patent is then archived in a vault to demonstrate its preciousness as a pure expression of wealth & power free from any economic, political or rather social implications.
