Follies for Caissa:

Excursion to the East // Collaboration with Mira Md Razi

In this series, our collaboration deliberately explored the contingency of cultural adaptation adhering to the ornamental translation of geometry, colour combination and spatial composition. The sets depict unconventional spaces choreograph so that it imitates the primal nature of the derived language, often the involvement of objects arranged in a peculiar manner, in which a series of spatial interpretation is composed.

 

Follies for Caissa exterminates utilitarian purpose, distinguish aesthetic appreciation and functional implementation. These follies exemplify a spatial disposition, giving them innate character free from its purpose nor its familiar utilities. A series of spatial experience elaborated in a tangible manner in order to emphasize the characteristic possesses by each ChessMate.
